The BIS Society at California State University Chico is a student organization for dedicated students in the fields of Management Information Systems and Operations and Supply Chain Management. Students convene for Thursday night meetings with companies such as Chevron, PG&E, Deloitte, KPMG, Intuitive Surgical, Pivotal, and more. The intimate setting allows students to interact with these companies in a way that’s not possible at a career fair. Students in the BIS Society learn how to network with not just fellow students, but also have a chance to form connections with recruiters through our weekly meetings and our biannual Meet & Greet and obtain expert advice. We are closely affiliated with the SAP Club, a student organization that get students comfortable and exposed to SAP systems.
Our society holds weekly meetings to meet with faculty, industry leaders, company recruiters, and more. During our weekly meetings you will have the opportunity to hear from CSU faculty and staff on topics such as interviewing techniques, course selection, and upcoming events in the academic world. We also have a wide range of recruiters who speak to us on employment opportunities within their organizations. Our topics include present and future company needs and information about their companies. You will also meet other members of the society and learn from them about courses and projects during their studies at CSU Chico.
